Custom Crating in Colorado Springs, CO
Colorado Springs is the southern end of our regular service territory, and a busy one: five military installations generate constant relocation and export crating work, the aerospace and defense sector ships equipment that demands documented, certified packaging, and the residential side matches anywhere in the metro — pianos, art, and heirlooms. Specialized Moving Services has run the I-25 corridor from Englewood since 1988.
Colorado Springs is about 70–80 minutes down I-25 from our Englewood facility. We schedule Springs work as planned dispatches, and it's a route we run regularly.
Military and aerospace shipments
Between Fort Carson, Peterson, Schriever, the Academy, and the defense contractors around them, Colorado Springs ships a lot of freight with strict packaging requirements. We build IPPC-certified export crates for overseas assignments and contractor shipments, vapor-barrier seal sensitive equipment, and provide the photo documentation that government and prime-contractor logistics expect.
Worth the drive — and honest about it
We're not going to pretend Englewood is around the corner from the Broadmoor. Springs jobs are scheduled dispatches, usually batched, which keeps travel cost reasonable. For single small items, bringing the piece to our Englewood shop can be the cheaper play — we'll tell you which makes sense when we quote.
